Default cleaning valves and pistons.

is there anyway to clean off the gunk and such off the valves? and maybe clean up the pistons a little. they look pretty nasty and i dont know of anyway but spraying with degreaser and then washing it off, which is a nono with internal parts.

i do head job once in a while and we take the valves to a grinder wheel and polish them they look all pretty after there grinded but then we take them to a cool tool that makes them perfect so i don't know of any other way personally so i say upgrade while you have it all apart you can use wd-40 and some rags thats always a good way to clean some parts

I used a blue scotch bright pad w/ an pnumatic tool to clean mine, they looked brand new! also it's good for cleaning the block for the gasket surfaces.
