ok im at the time were im going to start getting parts for my motor. i have a 2.4 block and a 2.0 block. witch one would u guys go with. i belive its going to cost the same either way. i want to best performance i can get for the buck. let me kno witch u would go with thanks

 

If you wanna be sneaky and different, You could use the 2.4 block and the 2.0 head (if its a single cam well even a dual cam but yea I personally would go single) and have some nice bottom end. and tell people its stock =P

 

well i only like dohc. plus i also got an head sitting to put on a motor. my only question about the 2.4 is will the performance bottem end kit for the srt4 will fit on a plan 2.4 block. i think im goign to be going this way cuz for about the same money ill get more power.

 

You can use SRT-4 internals on the 2.4 block. The 2.0 and 2.4 head are the same.

 

yea i kno that but i was wondering about the kit that mp has but i dont think it will be worth buying cuz the heads from the 2.4 and the srt4 heads are different so i wouldnt need the ehad gasket and all in the kit. plus i dont know about the water pump and all that good stuff. i do have another question is the timmign belt cam on the crank the same on the 2.0 and 2.4 i cant find my one from the 2.4 but i have one for a 2.0. thanks for the help

 

Use the 2.4 man. You will be much happier in the end lol IMO

 

yea thats what im planning on doing now after i looked into it some more. but im hoping of getting a nother neon. im just waiting for the guy to get back to me . but im planning in the long run to have a fully build n/a motor in that one. i fought soem 14 ti 1 pistons today i would like to try out in that.
