Default EGR Tube

Ok so I have been wondering. I plan on buying some sort fo aftermarket computer soon..either the Mopar or AF/X but I was wondering about the EGR. I have heard and read about removing it. What all does it do if you remove it? I understand you will get a code if you keep the stock PCM, but what else? More horsepower? Better/worse MPG? Im pretty much know nothing about this and any info about it would be awesome. I just ordered Vitors bobble strut from NeonGoodies and saw the EGR block off kit so thats why I am asking about it. Thanks

Have fun wearing out the rubber insulators with vitors rear engine...metal bar....thing.The mopar performance mount is much more reliable..

Removing the egr will make the engine valves and such cleaner. You will gain a small amount of hp...and Im not sure about mpg...I removed mine quite a while ago and had no problems since...other than the check engine light.
