well first off when i go to Kalispell which is about 100 miles away my idle goes WAY!! down to 500rpms someone said something about it being an airleak or something like that

and for the second Problem when i shift to 3rd when i get up to 4000 to 5000 rpms the shifter kicks into neutral
what is going on ??????

check your gear oil.....how many miles are on the tranny???

 

USE THE SEARCH FEATURE!!!!! lol just kidding.... are you getting any codes on the idle thing though? even if you're not you might want to check all your vacuum hoses.

 

80,000 on tranny

today the car is running just fine its not popping out of third and im not haveing any idle problems

im gonna get my car serviced and get a tranny fluid change and stuff
which i believe a manual shift does need the fluid changed right???

this problem only happens at long distance driveing well distance drveing i have no problems with it raceing around town but everytime i take it to kalispell the idle goes Way down

if and when I find the vacume hoses ill check them

 

i never checked for codes

but my check engine light is always on im sure i could take it to a shop and get everything fixed
but no money
and i cant get a job cuz im getting surgery on my shoulder and cant do anything with it for 3 months so that means no money for me this summer unless i can find a just that only takes one arm i go check with the landlord down the street cuz he has one arm maybe he can find me a job

he told me he would pay me $10 hour to help him with his trailors so that would be a decent income
