They aren't that light, but they aren't very heavy either.

 

ooohhh cause i remember on a topic a while ago people are saying that carbon fiber hoods and trunks where as light as the ones on neons

and i remember for some reason someone was saying that the steel or ply or whatever for hte doors were extremly light as well

 

Modern used to sell a cabon fiber hood and trunk that weighed about 5 lbs.

 

hell if you look hard enough, you can find carbon fiber doors for the neon but there like 1300 a pair

okay, now what we have come to talking about the weight of paint and a form of plastic? and you have to prime before you paint almost anything and you should prime anyways. and if you have to worry about the few oz that the paint puts on then you got some real issues. thats what i think anyways.

 

heres a tip ricers don't take car of their cars.the apc taillights if you don't take care of them they fade i have never seen non faded onesthey all look like they never been washed and the best way too say this one is ricers are cheap thats why you see apc crap every where.having a cool looking car does not make you a ricer its when they shove this stuff on and don't take care of it and run your mouth that all these body parts added 100hp that is what a ricer is so you can own a ricer and still be a tuner too just by saying it did not a any hp

 

oh and realy im just to cheap too paint thembut i will paint them all the way when i put my turbo on maby i won't wait that long but i do need coilovers or 17'sbefore i put the front bumper and side skirts back on they always scrapedany one know a way to get it not to scrape?? i realy love them all on

 

wow...i must of missed the section in any race car magizine that explains where painting your bumpers drastically drops your 1/4 mile timeand i know that stratus must be a 10 second car to worry about weight reduction enough to remove 5lb side skirts[&:]

i have seen alot of ricers out there that dont have apc tailights......thats just not a good example of a ricer.....find a better one

 

maybe its not that they dont take care of their cars. maybe its just that they dont know how. i bet you dont even know how to properly take care of your paint. being that its a 1200$ job it must take care of itself right? WRONG! auto detailing is an art and im sure its one you dont have. i bet you wax it once a month or so thinking your doing your paint a huge favor bywaxing monthly. when really all your doing is letting the wax build up but hey you know best. cause your not a ricer.
