Default car dies

okay so before my gauge cluster took a dump on me and does whatever it pleases, my battery light was on. Now the car was dead and i jump started it, drove it down the street no problem ... pulled in my driveway and it stalled and wont start again... dead battery...... is my alternator the problem???

Default RE: car dies

95% sure the altenator sounds like it took acrap to me bud! as to the cluster dieing, welcome to thewounderful world of neons lol, it really is a easy fix if you are atleast on par with a solder iron, 4 screws to remove the cluster and then remove the board from the back, reflow the solder point on both plugs(10 per side), you may have to ad solder on some but not much. if you do, use silver-bearing solder(can get it at any radio shack). and use a iron not a gun as they get to hot and melt the coating off the board. I've done two boards for myself and 3 for freands and all 5 work like new now. good luck!
