changed my cam seal and then went to start the car.... fried my entire ground wire to the starter and caught fire... wtf did i do now?????[sm=headbang.gif]

 

move next door to the fire department. um seriously though, did the fire damage anything or was the fire just off the ground wire? and u might want to check all the wires to make sure its not touching anything that their not supposed to.

 

it was seriously disgusting... completely melted the ground wire coming off of the starter not a pretty smell [&o] but my battery is completely dead because my alternator isnt working properly either... do you think a bad ground to the alternator could cause this?

 

sounds like you might have a frayed wire touching power to ground or ground to power
