New to this forum thought I would say HI. Ihada 1997 Neon chain towed to my shop by a friend who need a spot to park the car a couple of days, [famous last words]. That was a month ago. Apparently the owner of the car, a friend of my friend neglected to check the oil and it sounds like a main has spun. They were going to have it towed to a wrecking yard, where they would have got 40.00 for it. So I payed them the money and nowthe car is mine.This a 2dr w/5 speed tranny car.Is it possible to pull the engine roll it over and replace the crank and bearings, after a full clean and visual inspection for other damage. I will be selling the car after repairs are done. Where can I find a vin decoder? Hi again and thanx; Morbert

 

it is entirely possible to pull it and replace the bearings.....but make sure to just change all of them..not just 1 or 2..

 

bert where are you located ,what is the body condition, what color? how many miles? Im really really looking for a white RT with low miles.

 

its a 97 so its not an rt. it could still be white though if that helps

 

well did a little research and its a canadian car. . . 40 bucks canadian what a rip from the scrap yard. anyway NM i got the info i needed eh
