my oil light is on and i don't know why i just changed my oil filter and my oil and the light is still on and does that mean my oil pump is goin bad cuz its not puttin alot of pressure or wat others would thre be

 

Have you checked the oil level?

And yes, your pump may be going bad.

 

turn the car off and don't turn it back on until you find what's wrong.

 

You may have not gotten the seal off the old oil filter and it was stuck on the block, then the oil will leave the motor and the oil pump will start sucking air, causing your light to come on.

 

lol ihad that happen and oil eploded everywere. Change your oil sensor if it still does it u either have a bad pump or ur engine is getting weak. How many miles?

 

umm my car has 144k on it and like i think its just the pump because it did sit outside all winter but i went out and bought a new oil pump today so iam goin to replace that. and my oil is to normal the 4.5 q and all that so yes the lvl is good but iam just goin to replace the pump and see how it goes

 

i also had that happen i was very pissed to see all my brand new clean oil all over my one peice of cardboard i had. i hate not having a garage or a creeper
