Inspect the wiring to the upstream O2 sensor. If all is OK, you might need to replace the sensor.

im getting new headers put on in a week is it cool to wait that long, that way i can put a new one,and is there a performance o2 sensor i can buy?

ok, were exactly is the wiring for the o2 sensor? and yes in 4th and 5th gear at like 2200 rpm, the aceleration is SH&T. ill look at it.

Locate the sensor on top of the exhaust manifold and trace the wiring.
