I now have a reason
well i was having vacuum problems and what the vacuum gauge was telling me was leading me to beleive the valve guides were worn. before i took the valves out i noticed that the intake valves on the number 1 and 4 cylinders were not closed all the way after taking the rocker arms off. checked out the pistons and sure enough my valves smacked the pistons. so i now have a reason to replace the valves and put in new valve springs, retainers and a new camshaft from crane cams. any pointers or things i might need to know before i start. of course double check the crankshaft and valve timing to prevent damage, again? primarily anything needing to be done to the pcm since there is a diiference in the camshafts?
