Projector Lights Installed!!
To sum it up in a Dora the Explorer song:
I did it! I did it! I did it! Yay! Yo lo hice. I did it!
The mechanic said he couldn't install my lights, but i did it! I did it! I did it! Hooray!
He said it was a daunting task, yet I did it! I did it! I did it! Hooray!
Sorry, I have kids. Anyway, after months of searching for advise and how-to's and then eventually taking my neon to a mechanic, I was finally able to install my projector lights. And the best part (as far as I can tell): I haven't fried my electrical system in the process.
I haven't connected the halo part of my lights yet, but I plan on splicing into the parking light (I read this within this forum somewhere), while grounding the black wire upon the car's body. (Am I wrong in this?) My said mechanic ended up chewing up my fender in trying to get my old lights off. I discovered the single culprit screw holding the light housing in place seemingly out of sight is easily assessible from beneath the car! Once I found this out, installing the lights were a piece of cake.
Now, I just need to figure out how to keep them on instead of with just high beams.
But, the main thing is that I did it! Not bad for complete newbie to anything car-related.
Hooray!!
