Default 1995 SOHC cam = more performance than 1996+?

I've heard that a 1995 SOHC camshaft has more aggressive profile than the 1996 and up Engines doand alsoisthe base for theMopar Performance Cam they sell in Jegs and elsewhere, the myth also states that there is a 6-10hp gain. Any truth to this?

I have a '95 2.0 SOHCNeonengine from a junk carand I was thinking of swapping that cam into my 1998 SOHC Engine if there was any truth to that myth.

Thank you for your time!
