Tonight when I parked my 95 Sport SOHC on the hill in front of my house I put my e-brake on. While the motor was still running black smoke started coming from under the dash underneath the stearing column. When I turn the engine off the smoke and burning plastic smell stop. The brake light doesn't come on. Any ideas?

you probably fried some wires

well when this happen to me it was to big of a fuse in the fuse box and wires were touching but the fuse didnt pop so i had to run new wires i would take of the pull switch for the head lights and check them before they get to bad like mine did

i had to run all new wires which wasnt fun

dont know if its the problem but just talking from a past experience keep us posted
