okay... im sittin at work bored and figured i would bring up a good topic to talk about and get somefeedback on... there are a lot of people on the forums that say "oh i'd rather have a 1st gen turbo that can beat a srt4 blah blah blah" but who truley feels like that??? i mean i want to turbo my 1st gen just to be different than most people,but if i had an opportunity to get a srt4, the 1st gen would be for sale in a second... i just wanna know how everybody else feels about this topic... do you truley not like the srt4 or are you in denial that you want one and just cant have it??? not meaning to cause arguments, just wanted to see others opinions...

 

i like the Srt4 but everyone nows that car halls ***** i would rather have a car that doesnt look fast that could stomp some **** into the ground

 

i personally love the srt4's....
but here is my logic when i say i would rather have a fast 1st gen.....actually there are a few reasons...so,
1: my r/t is paid for and i dont need another car payment....6 car payments is enough[&:]
2: the srt4 isnt a 2 door
3: srt4's are like the civic....every kid wants one and they all do the same thing to them...
4: people know an srt4 is fast....but what about a 9 year old neon????
5: it is cheaper for me to pay for all mods on my r/t then to have an srt4 car payment AND pay for mods..
6: if i get a dent in the r/t then it just makes it that much more of a sleeper...if i dent a new srt4 then i would be royally pissed off...
7: i feel comfortable in my r/t.....i wouldnt wanna have to start all over again with a new car...

these are just my reasons

I enjoy mine =D Ill see how worth it it really is after i lose my licence for it.

 

i love the 1st gen more for looks and i want a sohc with a dohc1st gen to beat there heavy srt-4's i like the srt-4 to but why waist twice the money and have to pay more insurence than the simple turbo build.

 

I like the SRT but it looks more like an economy car than the First Generation, If i could put that engine in my car i would But I'm broke and I'm a guitarist so that means I'm 2x as broke as the regular car guy....lol I prefer the 1st Generation look.

I added a stock spoiler to my Black '98 4 door Neon and it looks really cool for a 4 door, since the spoiler its looks seem like the car is faster than it is. I will have to change that soon! I upgraded so far... The instrument cluster with the 7,000RPM Tach, added cruise control buttons in the wheel and will be hooking that up soon for full function and I've added the low profilespoiler as I mentioned above. So far the car is lookin good now it just needs to be as fast as it looks : ) Now I just need to change my hood as it has a few dents from a deerI killedat 55mph and launched him over my roof and he almost hit my sister's carfollowing me, Amazingly it only dented the hood!

they dont weight 1000 pounds more than a neon
i dont even think they weight 3000

 

im a rapper and a d.j. i don't go or pay for school it gets into my cars.lol ...even if it weighs 400-1000 more thats still more weight

 

Yeah but I'm saving up for a Slash Marshall Amp, thats like $1500-$2000 depeneding on which month you go to ebay. Plus I have anaddiction to Mc.Donalds breakfast steak egg n cheese begals...lol And then my car is addicted to Gasoline of course so I run a tight budget

 

i pay atleast 3k every semester just for classes
