what battery should i use for replacing a factory battery? i'm hoping to use an optima, i'm not sure red or yellow
i'm not going to be running a stereo or anything, just a turbo setup

or would i be better off just getting a normal battery from an auto parts store?
if so, what brands would you recommend?
i'm going to be moving the battery to the trunk

 

Optima is a good battery. I have two yellow in the trunk. Butno big stereo run the red

 

how much are they?
unless i can sell my neon before i go pick up the new car, i'm going to be VERY limited on cash, lol

About the only thing is the cold cranking amps and cranking amps after the car is running it is running of off the alternator

I am going to say your are wanting for racing so see if you can find out which is the lighter.
I do not know much about the red top other than they are made for the hot rod. You may even want t o look at some other brands. Just make sure it a good quality battery because you do get what you pay. As for what you need is really what are you going to do with the car. Then do research.
I do really like my yellow tops I hadboth unhooked for three months while doing the swap and after the swap only hooked up one. after a year hooked up the other one by itself and it started up the car with no problem just like it was brand new. Then tied them together. So do some research and decide what you want it to do. Then pick a battery that is right you.

 

for now i just want a good battery, lol
i prolly only need it for a year or so
but it needs to be decent cuz it gets COLD up here in minnesota
