99neon wont start

my 99 neon wont start sometimes. it turns over good but wont start. wait a few seconds and it will start the second time. it has done this several times, but allways starts on 2'nd try.any ideas? ty

Try turning it to the on position for a few seconds then to the start position.

Check battery cables and connections for loose or corroded terminals.
