Default DOHC HEAD TO SOHC BLOCK?

Ok I have a guy wanting to buy my sohc block which is a 95, to put his dohc cylinder head, and everything else on. I'm not sure what year it is, its between 95-99 but I was wondering if it would work ok? All he wants his the block, and oil pan he is going to rebiuld the engine so will a sohc block work with dohc parts? Thanks

Why? some people like the DOHC others like me like them a littlebut prefer the SOHC engine because it is highly underrated by many.
