12.5 to 1 build
Hey guys,
Some of you guys allready know about my plans on putting 12.5 to 1 pistons in my Neon. Now that I have 2 Jobs and the wifes ok I am going to build a beast. (yeah i know you guys have heard it a thousand times.) I'm going to be getting the upper and lower rebuild kits from modern performance. Switching to DOHC. Getting block bored 20 over. getting the intake extrude honed. Pretty much my wife said 6500 was the limit. So I have some major play time. And I'm going to use MegaSquirt to tune. AND I REFUSE TO GO TURBO. WANT A NA BEAST. few questions.
1) Will I need bigger injectors? Thinking just getting the accell off modern for 149
2) New High Flow Venom fuel Rail. Need it??? yes or no
3) If I'm getting The MegaSquirt 2 will I need 2 get MSD DIS-2 or will the MegaSquirt take care of all that?
4)Since I will be running the MegaSquirt Will I still need a DOHC Computer to run my lights and all that jazz or will my SOHC computer work for that kind of stuff.
5) Do I have to get the same type clutch that was origanlly installed in my transmission or can I bolt what ever I want to it. Well exept the 95 clutch?
Thats all I can think of now but I know I have more writen at home.

i know absolutely nothing about megasquirt so i cant answer any of those questions......the system just seems to confusing and way to much work....
you shouldnt need bigger injectors because all your really doing is raising the compression.....i dont think you will need a bigger fuel rail either...unless you want the looks of it
