I need help
I have a 1997 Dodge Neon 2dr Expresso with a 16V DOHC engine I need to replace my alternator as I am trying to make this car into a nice car with body kits and all but I need an alternator so it at all possible I need someone to tell me the quickest way to get it off and replace it.
i cant remember what the book says....but if you go from underneath it will be the easiest way to get to all the bolts....and have space to get it out....
but i dont think i really know of any tips or tricks[&:]

Last year I was ****ting myself thinking oftaking the damn thing out then my brother came over and in 5 minutes after jacking the car up he had the thing out no problem, dunno what the hell he did but it took me40 minutes to get it in on my first trywith the lack of room to get a ratchet to move a click at a time (I got a pipe that fit my ratchet and a better angle to get it from now, so I'm way quicker now!). I just had to change the alternator belt last Saturday and it was faster for me this time around I got some Mc.Donalds coffee and by the time it cooled off I loosened the alternator and PS pump bolts and had it together in 25minutes pretty muchI could have changed the alternator in a half hour or less butI didn't need to since it was just the belt that snapped
it only would have added 5 minutes more to take it out completely.
WD40 works nice for belt squeal, I put a belt on from an extra SOHC engine I had and it was a little glazed and now it squeaks for 2 seconds on startup and WD40 fixed it very nicely 20 times better than Belt dressing!
