Default looking for prices!

well i was just given a 1995 neon 4d auto, the connecting road on the number one piston had broke and the piston has been eaten away by the crank shaft. i got the car for free and i am thinking about swapping the auto transmission to a manual, and thinking about getting a new engine for it. i was wondering how much you guys think it would be to get the new transmission and a new engine? And would the junk yard be the best to get the transmission and engine? thanks!

You should put in a 2.4L from a stratus or even an SRT-4 set up haha unless u dont wanna spend much money on this car. Though the 2.4L swap is a relatively inexpensive swap if u have to get an engine n e way and there is a great how-to w/ step by step instructions.

junk yard isnt a bad place IF you can hear them run before you get it. call them, for prices, evryone wants something different.
i always try to find a wrecked donor car. 5 speed swap is cake, 2.4 swap isnt too bad to do either.
hey imagine that ANOTHER neon with #1 rod broke...
