Best Repair Manual + Steering Vibration
I just purchased a used Neon 1997 Highline Sport Coupe and have the following questions:
1. I want to install an autostart and will need to remove the dashboard paneling, steering covers etc.. For that and otherwise, which is the best repair manual to purchase?
2. At speeds over 60 MPH, the steering starts to vibrate! The vehicle goes dead straight even when I take hands off the steering, but there is a lot of vibration.. what could be the possible issues?
3. ORIGINAL QUESTION WAS: "How do I know whether my vehicle is a SOHC or a DOHC :-).".. I just checked the basic carfax and it says DOHC :-D... I'm a bit more happy now.
Thanks a million.

there is a factoryTechnical Service Bulletinout for neons, i have a vibration on mine too at higher speeds and sometimes its worse than others,
the TSB says that the lower control arm bushings wear out and cause a vibration at high speeds
i haven't replaced the bushings yet to find out if it takes care of it but i bet it will do alot of good as well as the things mentioned above
check tires, balance, tie rods and ball joints, wheel bearings
