New to the site....

I've searched but my terms are not yielding results for what I'm after. I was curious if there are any interior mods that can be pulled out of similar vehicles, be they neons or neon-based, that will work in a 95 neon? I'm asking for my girlfriend. She owns the vehicle and I figured I'd do the research.

Basically what I'm after is an OHC (overhead console). I installed one in my ford ranger (yeah yeah, don't want to hear it) and she likes it so I said I'd see what I could find for her. In my case, the ranger does not come with a OHC from factory no matter what trim/package you opt for, but one can remove them from explorers and wire them up to work in the ranger (it works because the older gen explorers are ranger-based vehicles).

well lefty......... form what i have heard most SRT4 seats and such fit

 

are there any wiring issues between the years? I know the SRT-4s are a new gen? So wiring wise, was there or is there much of a difference?

 

Yes the seat do and with very little work the console will to but some fab work to do to make it match the dash. With some fabbing I believe you could get an over head console out of a dodge mini van and make it work. Has far as anything electrical I don't believe will work. The electronics are different. But the seats are not electrical.

 

Is there a how-to anywhere?

Within the ranger forums I participate on we have a section on how-to's. I've yet to search for just neon devoted sites/forums only. This forum was what came up when I did a google from "neon" + "overhead console".
