Default what size tires can i tuck??

ive got a 98' 2door and i just got the eibach sportline springs which is like a 2" drop in the front and like 1.7 in the rear. im about toput them on but i also need to order some tires for my 17's i have some 205/40/'s on there right now but i hate them i want something with a beefier sidewall does anyone know how bigof a sidewall i can go on a 17" rim with it lowered without rubbing? i wasthinking maybe50 i think 55 will be too big but the yokohama prada spec2's look verrry niceyour input is much appreciated thanx : )

50's and 55's are too big......actually even 45's are too big....
with 17's your only realy options without any rubbing are the 205/40's or 215/40's

205/40-17's are the most common. I have a buddy who is about to put the SRT-4 brakes on his turbo neon along with some 19's!

19's.....so he would probally be running about a 235/30-19 then....maybe a 35
i wanted 18's.....but never found any i really liked for cheap

if you want more meat on the side walls then get some smaller rims

I'm running 215/40R17's on a 17X7' wheel and they just fit with my pro-kit springs.

thanx guys ya i kinda wish i woulda gone 16's so i could have a little more meat on the sidewalls but i guess ill have to stick with the 40's ive got on there right now....o well at least it will look good haha
