Welcome! I too have a deep amethyst neon, I think you and I are the only ones on this forum
I would just replace the crank sensor, I just had one for sale but got rid of it for $45. Also, the cam sensor can throw a code 11, so I would suggest checking that. I do have a used cam sensor for sale though $15 bucks plus international shipping.

Very nice Neon, could be my Purple Ronnie`s relative, tey do like the dogs dangly bits when wet, Liquid Gold wax after a resin polish, buff for like 3 hours, get yelled at by wifey for letting the dinner ruin,,.married life......ya gotta love it.
Hit another problem, she`s now stalling when i put into reverse, rev her up to about 2500, tach needle stuck tere but foot off gas.......feels like it`s misfiring but giving no codes.new plugs (NGK) new leads, new coil.new filters new oil....how can she treat me so bad when I treat her soooooooo good lol
