Dude, you're 16, I'm sure you don't know everything, you will ask questions that may seem dumb to others, but they are important to you. Why not just supply the answers you can and ask the questions you can't answer, everyone will get along and everyone will be happy. I still ask questions and I'm 43.

the kid that was asking about the brake pads, i had to laugh, cuz you just know he can install all sorts of sound systems... but he cant do a simple brake job. LOL
.
If you can get a hold of a Haynes manual, it is one of the best tools to keep in your shop. I know I get one for every car I work on, including my bike too. I couldn't tell you how many times I have referred to my manuals, they are very informative and can give you things this forum cant.
Thank you.
I am not saying not to ask questions. I amjust saying get a manual. It will be one of the most helpful tools you can have.

I agree that a manual can be one of the first tools you need when working on your car, but sometimes the book doesn't have all the answers. There are times when the Neon FSM tells you to use tool # xxxxx, and you don't have acces to it, what do you do? Ask for help, someone has surely found a suitable replacement for tool #xxxx, which can be fabricated from shop/ hardware store stock. There are also times when the book tells you step 72 in the add washer fluid process is to remove the right taillight. We all know there is probably an easier way, so ask, If there is a shortcut, someone here must already have found it and hopefully is willing to share. So, rant off, now continue to ask the questions, and I'll answer as many as I can, dumb or not.
