Default **Transmission Update**

Ok,

As some of you may allready know I had a problem with 2nd Gear not engagingAT ALL. Turns out that when me and my brother put the transmission together we didn't know how much to turn the band adjustment screw in so we screwd it in up to where it looked like there was rust on the bolt, well anyways I tightened the lock nut only finger tightand when I got the itch to find out what happened tonight soI took the battery tray out and noticed the nut and adjustment screw was totally floating in the hole....lol

Long story short I looked up on the net how to adjust it and I made sure the lock nut was tightened this time and I took it for a ride. Well it really hauled *** and had such a nice smooth shift that I nearly creamed in my pantswith the joy of it working sogreat. The best part of it is that on the highway going 65mph and kicking it down it has such smooth acceleration and it pulls like a mother fk with no lag in between shifts. Now that I have myself a working great automatic I do not understand why people call em slow, mine hauls ***!

People call them slow because they are slow.

Glad to hear you fixed it correctly this time.

Thanks Man. : )

Before my transmission Swap and the way that tranny was shifting and acting I would know exactly why they are called slow, but with this new tranny and the kick down adjusted correctly it really gets going and feels alot stronger than most 4cyl cars I've driven, especially when I floor it at 30mph it leaps forward like a raped ape.I think you could call it slow only when comparing it to a 5 speed Neon, but in its own right Auto vs Auto cars its pretty damn quick and holds its own. Last night I wiped clean Chevys version of a PT Cruiser, dunno what there called but they look like a coolretro little truck/suv thing. I even had enough confidence to race a Cobalt which was pretty fun : )

Turbo should soon be installed and then it wont make a difference if a correctly driven 5 speed approaches me
