Default Just Wondering...

Is it just my neon or do your neons when u drive the car u can take the key right out without turning off the car. Hah not to mention if i lose my keys i can start my car with a flat head screwdriver. shh dont tell anyone

no....sounds like u need a new ignition switch. and the screw driver...nothing new lol. some of my friends with the K-cars do that. and you can do it with other Chrysler cars....

To my knowledge you own 2 1995 Neons, In 1998 they switched the ignition to a pull out design that is silver and you use the key as the grip for turning the engine over where as on the 95's they have a molded grip.

My 98 has the pull out design.

I like that too, it saves stress on the key when you turn it. Especially with my switch acting up where the tumblers are sticking and not letting my key engage to start, I bent my key up pretty bad this week cuz the tumblers are getting fkd up.

But I wouldn't trade the pull out key while engine running feature for the grip though, as I always like to take my keys with me so I don't lock them in by accident when I leave car to warm up in cold weather.
