ok, neon wont start and when i turn it over it just cranks and the starter is sparking and giving a nice little puff of smoke... any ideas? thanks every1

a small amount of arcing between the motorbrushes is normal. if it seems that your having excessive arcing you can overhaul the starter with new brushes or springs.

do you think it could be a bad ground elsewhere or a bad positive connection causing the spark??

its possible but usuallyif you have abad connection the starter wont trun at all.

try andfind out where the smoke is coming from.and does it smell like oil oro-zone
