96 Neon - Turn signals not canceling, in either direction.

I replaced the turn signal switch and now the left works normally but the right does not cancel.I putthe orginal switch back in and I am planning to exchange the switch tomorrow. The metal tab on the stering column looks OK. I am hoping I just got a bad switch.

Has anyone else gad these problems ? Is there any adjustments that count cause the problem?

Any help would be appriciated.

I had some issues with my left signal sticking and I have to almost turn wheel to the right to get it to stop, I haven't had a chance to take it apart yet so for now I'm in the same boat as you! It al started when my Signal didn't want to come on while I was turning but I forced it on then it seemed like it moved something but I dunno what exactly is wrong with it.

 

After awhile they stop working and the switch needs to be replaced. Sounds like the one you replaced it with was also defective.
