I did it in about 4 hours but I was chasing tools most of the time so somebody with everything at their disposal should be alot quicker. Also change the water pump at the same time or you'll regret it later.

As for the Power Steering pump if it works fine I'd leave it, mine is noisy but only when its cold outside and it will only make noise for about less than a minute, it works good still. The Power Steering Pump comes off at the same time the rest of the **** for the timing belt does so it isn't any extra time to change it, I took my pump off its mounting brackets and left the hoses on and tucked it up by the head so it was mostly out of the way.

for an experienced mechanic, timing belt replacement isnt bad at all.....usually takes me about and hour on a dohc and 45 minuites on a sohc....that included changing the water pump and idler pulley(s)

You gotta take the p/s pump off anyway, why risk having to go back and do it again later. I've got a perfectly operating pump on ebay for $9.99 See item # 280175654584
