Default are there any stronger axels for 1st gen?

Hi, i recently bought a 1995 Plymouth Neon and so far i love the car to death, although i'm concerned about the axles. within the first three days of owning the car i twisted my axle into two pieces, are there any alternatives for stronger axles ive heard rumours about a certain type of acura fitting like a glove. first post btw. some information about that stuff would be pretty cool, thanks

For the record, yeah im totally bone stock but ive got a k&n air filter on the way, and im kind of wondering what to pursue next, better rims and tires of course but thats in the distant future(thinking 17s 18s?). hmmm what would you suggest for a next mod, are there any that i shouldnt go for at first. in case you hadnt noticed im not going for turbo, so thats out right away. (if im supposed to make a new thread or something for a different topic just let me know this is really the first forum ive ever been on)

what would you suggest for a next mod,
if your DOHC you could put a SHOC head on for higher comperssion ratio. it all depends on how much money your willing to spend

make sure you check this link

Oh yea one of the first mods you should buy it a hanes or chilton's manual or both they will come in very handy for whatever you are doing to your neon
