Default Need help with neon!

my 97 SOHC runs good for about 20 mins then under load in 3rd gear or higher it starts to misfire. i got a code 43 misfire code and a P0351 primary coil circuit malfunction. so i replaced the coil, plugs, wires and nothing it still does the same thing. i also checked the connectors at the coil and the computer and they were good. then i cut the harness open and checked the wire to the coil from the computer and it was also good. the car runs good at idle and in first and second gear. i have no idea what could be causing this, its driving me crazy! haha any help would be appreciated! thanks

a buddy i work with said, some wires are whats called a fusible link(don't know if this is tru or not) that basically makes the wire itself like a fuse. he said try hooking a multimeter and check resistance and voltage supply passing through the wires because something might have blown a portion of the wire. don't know if this is true but its worth a shot for me
