Default 99 R/T questions

Hi, im new around here and I have a few questions I thought someone here may be able to help me with.
First of all, I own a 1999 Neon R/T and ive been thinking very seriously about going forced induction, but i'm having second thoughts because the car already has 130k miles, would the motor even be able to handle it for more than a week or so? Im also concerned that when I shift at higher RPM's im getting much more resistance than I should be, and often a little bit of grinding. Im hoping this can be solved with a new cluth instead of a whole new transmission? thanks much for looking over my questions

it all depends on how well the engine was maintained. As long asit doesnthave any major issues an OEM bottom end should handle 8psi

do a compresstion test. Thats a good way to tell if your bottom end will be able to keep up with the boost.

i 1st install a turbo on my 98 r/t when the motor had 150,000 miles.....ran 8psi and it lasted for 10,000 miles......if your gonna turbo the motor then i would highly reccomend replacing you piston rings, rod bearings, and main bearings...then get a high volume oil pump and you should be pretty well set

Thanks alot for the input, and i will definitely run a compression test. This is the turbo kit I was considering buying, but would it be worth my while?
