Default Swapping 1st gen Gauges

My neon unfortunally is an automatic hope to change that but right now i currently dont have a tach in my gauge cluster. I was wondering if i could take a gauge cluster out of another neon that has a tach and weather or not is the wiring already there for it just not being utilized. I understand that id have to change the odo but would i be able to just swap them and it would work or not.

you can just take out the 4 screws holding it in pull it out and put the new one in. Thats all you have to do and it will work just fine...so yes all 1st gen clusters connect the same and even though you dont have a tach the tach wire is there...

So allthree guages i originally had will still work as well as the tach will work also even though there wasnt a tach to start with. Thats what you were saying correct.

Swap away and enjoy. They are plug and play.
