when ever u rev um a sohc engine how much should the engine tilt in the engine bay? when ever i rev up my engine it torques back toward the seats like a whole 3 inches. does that seem to much or is that ok? i ask because one of my friends said that my motor mounts are bad

Yeah Id say their pretty bad. Get new ones, or get prothane inserts from Modern Performance. It helps out alot on engine movement and wheel hop, but you will have a little of engine vibration.

the prothane motor mounts are very stiff and made of polyurethane i believe.....i have them in my car and plan on taking the tranny mount insert out....the car shakes horribly bad with all the inserts in and it gets really annoying..

with good motor mountes, the engine should only rotate about a half inch to an inch....3 inches and i would say you deffinately need a new front mount

Pick up some 3M winshield urethane and fill your mounts. They have to sit overnight, so I'd recommend a spare set from the yard. I sell some sometimes.
