Well i but the garrett in today and it was hard to do. How much room should i have between the firewall and turbo? i have like 1/2 inch and thats the side of my coolent nipple. Wont my engine hit the turbo against the firewall when shifting?

 

you should get some solid motor mount inserts....then you wont have to worry about it...
ive got about 1/4 inch of clearance between my turbo and the firewall, but with the mounts, it doesnt hit at all

 

So these poly urathane ones i have will do that? i havent put them in yet. I know my back bobble strut tranny mount is bad.

 

with all 3 mont inserts installed, the motor will hardly move at all
