some punk kids got in my car last night so i decided to install my alarm today. during installation i realized that i can only hook up one door to the alarm so it knows that its open. my question is...can i install the postive and negative wires for the door ajar sensor to the positive and negative wires for the dome ligh instead so that anytime the light turns on the alarm will just think that it is the door thats open and then set off the alarm??? if this makes since.

 

Doesnt the alram have a voltage change sensor? If so the dome light will set it off anyways.

 

just hook it up to one of the doors. wheneither door opens the voltage will run to the other door its teed off and then sent to the light.

 

so i would hook the positive wire from the alarm to the positive feed for the door switch then ground it. and the alarm only hooks to the negative side of the dome light, i'll try all that and test it out. thanx
