air intake
i got a warm air intake and cut it in half. the half that goes over the exhaust manifold i reversed and angle'd it right to go right in front of the transmissin but you have to relocate your battery to make i work. gotpics if you want to se what i am talking about.
You don't have to relocate your battery for the cold air intake, just trim the battery tray, I was able to fit 2 and a half inch PVC piping through there no problems
I gave up on the cold air intake due to me not being able to afford a $30 air cleaner and one day at autozone I found a little air cleaner that looked like it was as big as my intake tube so I took my brothers 1995 intake tube from his extra engineand put the air cleaner at the end of itand the juice it had afterwardswas amazing over stock.Cold Air Intakes are the best option but a hassle for the gain, for your 1995 I'd just take your stockintake tube in with you at autozone and find a air cleaner that fits the end of it and clamp it down, $12 no modding your original intake tract and the air cleaner sits on your brake master cylinder and gains you'll notice also you won't have to worry about going through puddles and your engine sucking water up through the $200 Iceman. I got rid of that set up withmy turbo being addedbut it was deffinitly a good gain for the $12 filter and $50 cent clamp and some duct tape to make sure it sealed...lol
If you want it to be a cold air intake simply pull off your weather stripping just by the cowl where the hood seals on it. Probably would be better than a cold air intake seeing its further away from the hot transmission and radiator and gets a direct feed to cold air getting sucked in from the cowl effect. My brother has a neat little thermal gun that takes temp readings on the fly and it was actually cooler up by the brake master cylinder than it was by the radiator and transmissions combined heat.
Thats whatI would do, but I'm just a Guitar Player what wouldI know?
