i'm tired of drum brakes so to make my life easier i'm going to convert my drum brakes to disc. i know the acr hae rear disc do the r/t's have rear disc as well.

Any model can have them, Even atx cars do. Just have to look. Got mine off an 03 r/t. Certainly more appealing than painted drum[:'(]

 

don't really care about looks(since i don't have rims) or performance. its just a pain to put it all back together. but this project will have to wait another month or so but if i can't find any cars in the local junkyard i'll hit ya up spud thanx.

 

SO, you are doing a swap only for the fact you dont have to mess with drum brakes?[&:] Drums on neons are easy... Took me about 25 minutes to do both sides, and a new wheel cylinder in one. Seems like alot of work to swap over to discs just so you dont have to do drum brakes in 30k miles...

drums weigh less then disk brakes too it's a over rated swap imo....to do a big swap seems stupid if your not looking for looks...but if it's what you want why not

 

how do u figure drums wheigh less?
