Default help with clutch solenoid switch install.......

well i bought mopar part number 4799954aa which is the switch for clutch solenoid.......i need some pointers of how to install this part............

i thought it went atop of the transaxle......not in the pan?

please help thanks

which solenoid is it? there are a few solenoids in the auto transaxle your talking about.

goes in the pan. just take off all the bolts to the pan and expect the fluid to come down like rain. aside of that you should be able to look up at the valve body and see another solenoid that identicle to the one you have. off the top of my head i dont remember exactly what the torque spec is on the bolt (i think its like 90inch lbs?) but i know you have to be sure to torque it correctly because its a valve body bolt and that stuff is pretty finicky. might call up dodge and ask them for the torque speck. will probably have to buy or barrow a torque wrench.

cant get to the lockup switch....i can see it on the engine side of the tranny but there is like 30 torx bolts on this other big piece that everthing is connected to preventing me from getting it out......how do i do this???
