I was browsing some neon parts on ebay and came across this WAI:

Now, in the form they sell it in, I know it does no good. But, if you were to take the 90 degree bend they include and use it as the 3.0 snorkel, then take the rest of it and cut one end off, wouldn't work just like the 3.0 CAI and look tons better?

Also, If I were to buy some of these and make them to fit, who would be interested in one? How much would you be willing to pay for a true CAI? I am really considering doing this if it works.

 

yeah it will work did it awile back with the exact same intake... had to make 3 cuts...

now i know the pics dont show what you have its just two different revisons of my intake but if you take the 90* turns in the first pic and then attach the part that I have on my AMM intake manifold in the second pic then you got exactly what you moked up... it works well...

Grrr, I thought I was the only one that thought of this, lol. Why did you have to make 3 cuts? Oh well, I still plan on doing this, is anyone else interested?

 

you have to cut about an inch off the little 90* part so it wont hit your hood then just cut the ugly tab off it will hit your hood... then you have to attach the long part... you will see where you have to cut...

ALSO MY BATTERY IS IN THE TRUNK I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WILL FIT AROUND THE BATTERY TRAY!!!!!!!
