now im not certain how many wats a neon normally pulls how ever I made the mistake on my wifes car about a year ago, (before i got the neon) when i put a set of ebay 100 watt blue bulbs in it... her civic is supposed to have 55 watt bulbs and it was fine for awile then we took about a 300 mile trip for a family emergancy and low and behold going 75 mph 3am in the morning we lost both headlights... opened the hood and all the wires were toast from the bulbs to the ballest...

the adapter isent going to change anything other then you being able to plug that style bulb connectorinto your car.

you could install a pair of driving lights. aim them a little high and you will have alot of extra light. i worked nights and had to drive on backroads, so i know theres nobody out at 3 am and the roads are real dark.

i had PIAA 100 watt lights. they are expensive, but i think the quality is worth it.
