my car won't turn on? Everything works. i have power, my starter turns over but the car just won't turn on. I just gave it an entire tune up including oil, oil filter, spark plug wires, spark plugs, fuel injector cleaner. i have a 1997 sohc 2.0. I have tried putting starter fluid also and it won't budge. I live in flagstaff where every night it freezes over could this be the problem? and if it is what can i do to fix the problem or at least turn the car on? Otherwise It just won't turn on with everything working on it. i checked the fuses and relays.

 

put gas in it.

check fuel pump.

 

but a haynes manual and dothe no start test, porbably ASD relay

 

Having the same issue here. Just went through the joy of swapping in a newer fuel pump from the yard, and the pump still is not priming.

 

Heads up. Junk yard fuel pumps are usually bad. I went through 3 in one week. I ended up just buying a new one. No problems ever again. Once the pump goes dry on the shelf the seals and everything else goes bad.

 

The yard here leaves them in the tank. Got mine from an 02. This was done in a pinch, but newer pump are ideal. Also worked on my 87 k-wagon.
