Wow! $50! Where in the world? Read the label to see if the fluid is approved for Chrysler Corp. cars.

i have used regular old power steering fluid in my gen 1 neon, never had an issue.

i sucked out the old witha fluid pump, added new, turned car on, turned steering lock to lock several times, sucked that out, and repeated the process untill i was satisfied that most of the old was replaced with the new. there might be other ways to get it out or change it, but my way only takes a few minutes and you would be surprized at how dirty and discolored the old fluid is.
