Default SOHC/DOHC COMPATABILITY

I DRIVE A 97 EXPRESSO AND JUST AQUIRED A 95 SPORT WITH A REBUILT BOTTOM END . WHAT PARTS BESIDES THE THROTTLE BODY ARE COMPATIBLE BETWEEN THE TWO.

Everything is the same I believe other than from the head up.

Blocks are identical, heads are different. You can however swap the heads over.

The pistons are also different. The DOHC have value reliefes, where the SOHC don't. SO... DOHC has stock 9.2:1 comp. and SOHC has 9.8:1.

Doesn't DOHC have higher compression? Meaning you got those ratios backward?

No, the DOHC has lower comp. from the factory.
