Ok guys im doing a new motor and im guna get venolia pistons custom made and eagle rods. but i dont know if i should go long rod or short rods. when i order the piston i need to no if im guna do short or long. what are the advantiges and disadvantiges of each. and any one with long rods and short rods give me some feed back so i can make my selection

 

long rods will make stroke shorter
short rods will make longer stroke longer stroke builds more power

when we usta build our kart motors, we would always look for the shortest rod we could use while still being legal
