This kid with a z24 cavalier is pushing 170 horse. The funny thing is he put in like 8,000 in the car. a 2.4 dohc engine and only got 170 out of it? Well anyway. He can hook his laptop into the car and see a bunch of data. He can tune his red line and tune a bunch of other stuff. Where can i get one of them? He said he paid like $600 for it.

What Makes it funny is the Z242.4 is the Quad 4 DOHC Engine that makes 155hp stock. So 170hp sounds about right on a PCM mod.

But for $8,000 he could have gotten a SRT-4 with 224hp. Must have spent $8,000 on the tow truck.

 

No its not megasquirt. Its not a standalone. It just tunes the stock computer i geuss. He says iyts called a HP tuner?

Okay. I thought it was something different. Well if i get megasquirt will that eliminate my stock ecu? If so can i just put the megasquirt in its place and look up my stock harness wires and make my own megasquirt/stock harness?

 

Yes it eliminates your stock PCM and yes you would have to wire everything into the MS.
