I have a 98 Neon, 2.0 SOHC that a 20 amp fuse keeps blowing when the fuel pump is connected to the car. I was driving it (with a 2 month old new fuel pump) and the thing just died in the middle of the road. Took it to a shop. The pump has been recently been replaced as it was suspected that this was the cause. New pump--same problem. All suspect a ground wire, but no one seems to see or has found one that is grounding out. Can someone through light on this problem? I am hoping that the repair does not cost more than the car is worth. (We all know that situation). As it gets 40 miles a gallon, I would not really like to kiss this car goodbye. Thanks. --Grounded (out) in WI

theres a dedicated line back to the fuel pump , youprobably have a bad wire ... I'd start at the pump and follow the wires looking for cuts chafing ect
