Default longtube header delete cat?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-E...spagenameZWDVW

it looks like there are two places for o2 sensors to go so im assuming it passes right by where the cat would go and connects to the rest of the exhaust. if i dont have a cat i kno it will throw a code but will it mess with the computer at all? i dont think it will but let me know thanks

on most long tubes you lose your cat... you can get creative though... just have to find a round cat and not an ovel and plug the 2nd o2 sensor hole in the manifold and install a bung after the new round cat and install the downstream o2 sensor after the cat in the new bung...

honestly it can... but it may take awile... most will just solder a 1megaohm 1/4 watt resister into the black wire of the downstream o2 sensor to trick the computer into thinking the cat is still there and good... but the o2 sensor has to remain in the header and be heated by the exaust gas... the resister will not adjust the long term fuel trim just the fact that the cat is gone...hense the reason you need to leave the o2 sensor in...
